DR. ROCCO ARENA

Principal Dentist / Director

Dr Rocco Arena attended the University of Adelaide, graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1994. For 30 years, he’s been crafting custom care plans for patients of all walks of life in the community.

“I enjoy helping patients achieve the best outcomes for their oral health while restoring their smiles.”

From an early age, Dr Arena was interested in how dentistry could positively impact people’s lives while also profoundly improving their general health. This was enough to set him on his journey to becoming a dentist, changing lives, and crafting beautiful smiles along the way.

In order to provide the best care for his patients, Dr Arena participates in continuing education courses throughout the year that help him stay up to date with the latest trends and techniques in the field that will ultimately benefit his practice.

When he isn’t crafting beautiful smiles at Arena Dental, Dr Rocco Arena likes to spend time with his young and busy family while also pursuing his musical aspirations — he’s also a keen guitarist!

COURTNEY RUTJENS

Dental Hygienist

Courtney joined Arena Dental in early 2022, bringing with her a wealth of expertise and a deep passion for oral health care. She completed her Advanced Diploma of Oral Health in 2021, and since then, she has been dedicated to providing the highest standard of care to our patients as our Dental Hygienist.

Courtney is committed to lifelong learning and professional development, continually updating her knowledge and skills to ensure she delivers optimal care and the best oral health recommendations. Her dedication to excellence is reflected in her achievement of a Certificate in Ethical and Professional Practice during her studies.

In addition to her role at Arena Dental, Courtney is the current Chair for South Australia with the Dental Hygiene Association of Australia, further demonstrating her leadership in the field.

Courtney’s scope of practice includes the treatment of periodontal disease, expert oral health care advice, teeth whitening, fissure sealants, and more. Her goal is to help you maintain a healthy smile for life, while ensuring your comfort and understanding every step of the way.

ABBEY

Practice Manager

Abbey has been an integral part of the Arena Dental team for over 6 years. After she began her career with us, she completed her Certificate III in Dental Assisting and spent over three years working closely alongside Dr. Rocco Arena as his trusted Dental Nurse.

Building on her commitment to our practice, Abbey transitioned into the role of Practice Manager. She further developed her skills by completing a course in Practice Management, and now she oversees the smooth day-to-day operations of the practice.

Abbey is dedicated to providing our patients with a positive and welcoming experience. Whether you’re here for an appointment or have a question, Abbey is the friendly face you'll most often meet at the front desk, managing all things Arena Dental.

MAHYA

Dental Assistant / Receptionist

Mahya joined the Arena Dental team in 2023 and quickly became an invaluable member of our practice. As both a Dental Assistant and Receptionist, Mahya is a friendly face you’ll see when you walk in, and the skilled professional assisting our practitioners in the clinic.

Currently, Mahya is expanding her knowledge by undertaking her Certificate III in Dental Assisting. She works seamlessly alongside our entire team, ensuring that every patient receives the highest level of care!

Mahya’s dedication to providing excellent care, both clinically and administratively, is evident in everything she does.
